EIGC is the brainchild of Bradley Wohlers and Laurie Barger. Despite meeting each other when they were 10 years old at a hockey/soccer camp, golf was the element that brought this business to life.
Bradley began to form a love for the game of golf when he was just 6 years old. Growing up in Mahtomedi, MN, he remembers mowing the lawn to resemble a golf course—something his parents were not thrilled about! Nevertheless, from the time Bradley picked up a golf club, he knew he would make golf part of his career.
As he grew up, Bradley’s second home was Manitou Ridge. There, he built up his skills and technique and became a star player at Mahtomedi High School, and later at University of Wisconsin- Stout. Today, Bradley is a decorated and competitive amateur golfer in Minnesota. He is the course record holder at Manitou Ridge and finished 57th after making the cut in the USGA Mid-Amateur held in Charlotte, NC in September 2018.
Laurie’s story started a bit differently. Growing up in Monticello, MN, she was an avid hockey and soccer fanatic, continuing her soccer career at Augsburg College. With the desire to be an entrepreneur one day, she decided to continue her education and received an MBA as well as her Master’s in Leadership. Throughout this time, she found solace in yoga, her two golden retriever puppies, and taking up the sport of golf.
After years of randomly running into each other, Bradley and Laurie reconnected and rekindled their relationship from camp, which escalated quickly into a partnership for Element Indoor Golf Club. Together, Brad and Laurie are delighted to bring a first-class indoor golfing facility to Minnesota’s golfing community. They’ve created a superior golfing experience where avid golfers can enjoy their passion year-round, beginner golfers can grow their confidence, and no one has to worry about hanging up their clubs for the season.
